Carlo Venes is Co-Head of the Global Client Group (GCG) and serves in a leadership role on several of the firm’s key strategic committees. He helps to shape the vision and oversee the management of the GCG, which consists of more than 500 professionals committed to delivering an outstanding experience to advisors, intermediaries, and institutional investors around the world.

Carlo joined Dimensional in December 2011 as Head of Institutional Services for Asia ex Japan. As a Director of Dimensional Fund Advisors Ltd., Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte. Ltd., and Dimensional Hong Kong Ltd., his main focus was to build and manage the firm’s institutional team in Asia ex Japan and maintain client relationships with the region’s largest asset owners. He was named Head of Global Institutional Services in 2018.

Carlo has more than 20 years of global experience in the asset management industry, having worked throughout Asia, Europe, and the US. Prior to Dimensional, he was a managing director and head of Fidelity International’s institutional business in Asia. Before that, he worked in several roles at ING Investment Management in Asia, including head of institutional business, chief marketing officer, and head of business development.

Carlo has a BSc in marketing and finance from VU University in Amsterdam.
