As Dimensional’s Chief Marketing Officer, Karen Dolan leads marketing and communications for the global organization and works closely with Dimensional’s executives, investment teams, and sales leaders to effectively portray the firm’s investment approach and services. In her global capacity, Karen oversees corporate marketing and communications, channel marketing, creative services, marketing operations, and Dimensional’s digital properties and social media presence. She joined Dimensional in 2012 and served as the firm’s Global Head of Marketing before assuming the CMO role in 2025.

Prior to joining Dimensional, Karen worked at Morningstar for nearly 10 years. Her posts there included director of mutual fund analysis, where she managed and led the strategic direction for Morningstar’s mutual fund research capabilities in the US and Canada. She was a regular speaker at Morningstar and industry events, as well as a frequently cited voice in media coverage.

A CFA® charterholder, Karen obtained her BA from the University of Michigan in 2002 and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2008. Outside of work, she serves on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas and is an active member, along with her two daughters, of National Charity League.
